Contest Overview

Sponsored by Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and organized by Hangzhou Culture Radio Television Group, 2022 Chinese Bridge Chinese Proficiency Competition for Foreigners across the Globe—Storytelling Contest is hereby launched to invite Chinese language lovers from all over the world to share their stories!

Participants

1. The contest is open to foreign friends worldwide who love and learn Chinese.

2. Participants must be non-native speakers of Chinese language and have no Chinese nationality.

3. Under-age participants must obtain the consent of their guardians.

Contest Time

Preliminary, semi-final and final stages are available for the contest which will be taken online. Entries are open until the end of December.

Requirements for Works

1. The format is not limited: Vlog, talk show, interview, micro documentary and life comedy are acceptable.

2. Works submission: the works name should be "country + name + works title".

3. Works language: tell stories in Chinese and create videos with Chinese and English subtitles attached.

4. Specifications: the resolution is no less than 1280*720. MP4, MPEG, MPG, MOV, AVI, WMV, WebM and other formats are accepted.

5. The works must be original and out-of-copyright materials are forbidden. Infringement of any legal rights of the third party and plagiarism are strictly prohibited, once found, the works will be disqualified from the contest. The works shall have positive connotation but excluding pornography, violence, and racial discrimination. Advertising elements are prohibited.

6. Center for Language Education and Cooperation  reserves the intellectual property rights of participants' entries, results and derivatives generated during the contest, and also reserves the right to use the materials for summary promotional videos.

1 Best Literary Talent award; 1 Best Eloquence award; 1 Most Creative award; 1 Most Charming award; 1 Most Promising award; 1 Online Popularity award; 9 Excellent Works awards.

In addition, there are also a number of awards for the Best Guidance and the Best-organized Work. All participants who join the semi-final and the final will be awarded the certificate of participation and corresponding prizes. All participants will receive a certificate. The prizes are provided by Center for Language Education and Cooperation. The winners of the above awards will also win the title of Global Star Officer for Chinese Promotion.

Judging

At the semi-final stage and the final stage, the organizing committee will invite language and culture experts from home and abroad to form a judging committee to evaluate the works. Meanwhile, the works will be uploaded to the official page for display, and the Most Online Popularity award will be elected according to the voting results of global netizens.
