On October 18, TCZJ held a class opening ceremony for 2023 freshmen of Sino-Russian Tourism College. Vice President Wang Fang, Dean of the School of International Education Huang Hui, Dean of the School of Travel Service and Management Wei Xiaoliang, Vice dean of the School of Tourism and Foreign Languages Li Xiaohong and other relevant personnel attended the opening ceremony. The opening ceremony was presided over by Gao Angzhi, vice dean of the School of Tourism and Foreign Languages.

Wang Fang, on behalf of the university, extended a warm welcome to 20 international students from Sino-Russian Tourism College. In her speech, she briefly reviewed the achievements of the Sino-Russian Tourism College since its establishment six years ago, hoping that students can actively integrate into the Chinese culture, broaden their horizons and thinking, and create their own future through the study and life in the tourism institute. They can not only write their own "Chinese stories", but also spread the "voice of China" to their friends.

At the opening ceremony, Alena, on behalf of the freshmen, expressed her longing for China, her love for Hangzhou and her thankfulness to TCZJ in Chinese.

It is reported that the Sino-Russian Tourism College was inaugurated in Moscow on November 2nd, 2017 which is the first tourism education school organized by a Chinese college in Russia, and was successfully selected as the first batch of "Belt and Road 'Silk Road College'" in Zhejiang Province in 2022. Up to now, the institute has enrolled 221 students and carried out a variety of cultural and people-to-people exchange activities. In the future, the institute will carry out deeper exchanges and cooperation in cultural tourism, and make greater contributions to training high-quality tourism talents, promoting cultural mutual learning and deepening people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
