On May 27, a seven-member delegation from Thailand, led by Mr. Weera Thongprasit, Director of the Central Region 4 Vocational Education Center, and including Dr. Wittaya Katechoo, Director of Phuket Vocational College, visited our college. They were received by President Du Lanxiao, Vice President Lang Fuping, and relevant department heads. Mr. Yuan Fuguo, HR Director of Songcheng Performance Group was also in attendance.
President Du Lanxiao extended a warm welcome to the delegation, noting that the arrival of our first cohort of Thai degree-seeking students coincides with the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic relations. The establishment of this pioneering international student cohort vividly reflects the "China-Thailand family bond." She expressed hope for deepened collaboration to cultivate local tourism talents for Songcheng's project in Thailand.
Mr. Weera Thongprasit praised our campus facilities and achievements in tourism education, emphasizing Thailand's growing need for internationally skilled talents in its tourism industry and expressing eagerness for practical cooperation with our institution. During the visit, Dr. Wittaya Katechoo introduced Phuket Vocational College's educational characteristics, while Mr. Yuan Fuguo conveyed expectations for hosting Thai students in internships and employment.
The meeting culminated in the signing of cooperation agreements between our college and both the Thai Central Region 4 Vocational Education Center and Phuket Vocational College, covering collaborative efforts in international talent cultivation, Chinese language training, and faculty development. The delegation also conducted field visits to the Landison Industry Center, Alibaba Tourism Talent Incubation Base, and the Sui Garden branch of the Zhejiang Tourism Museum.
