On January 20th, the meeting on the construction of the China-Thailand (Songcheng) Tourism College was held at TCZJ. Mr. Witaya Chokay, Director of Phuket Vocational College, Thailand, Mr. Songwut Ruaythai, Director of Suphan Buri Vocational College, along with Ms. Du Lanxiao, President of TCZJ, and Mr. Lang Fuping, Vice President of TCZJ attended the meeting. Representatives from partner organizations including Songcheng Performance Development Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Gongshang University, as well as heads of relevant university departments, also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, President Du Lanxiao extended a warm welcome to the Thai delegation and the partner representatives. She stated that the school consistently aligns itself with national development strategies, committed to the mission of "serving the tourism industry and leading the sector's development." She emphasized that this transnational educational cooperation represents a significant practice in implementing the "Belt and Road" initiative and advancing the internationalization efforts. She expressed hope that through the quadripartite collaboration, the China-Thailand (Songcheng) Tourism College would become a benchmark project for cultivating tourism professionals between China and Thailand.
Both Thai directors highly praised the effectiveness of talent cultivation in the 2025 Hotel Management and Digital Operations Thailand Class and expressed great optimism about the prospects for cooperation. They conveyed their hope for deeper exchanges and collaboration in more areas in the future, including curriculum development, teacher and student exchanges, and the co-construction and sharing of training bases.
During the meeting, representatives from our university, Songcheng Performance Development Co., Ltd., Phuket Vocational College, and Suphan Buri Vocational College signed a co-construction agreement. Moving forward, all parties will work together to build a synergistic and efficient education system, continuously supplying high-quality talents to foster the prosperous development of the tourism industries in both countries.
