Recently, the "Exquisite Chinese Flavors: West Lake Banquet" culinary culture experience event was successfully held in Moscow. This event was co-organized by the China International Culture and Tourism Exchange Association, the China Cultural Center in Moscow. Zhang Wei, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in Russia; Russian Deputy Minister of Culture Sergey Malyshev; Andrey Denisov, First Deputy Chair of the Russian Federation Council's Committee on International Affairs; Bulat Nurmukhanov, Deputy Chair of the Moscow City Government's Tourism Committee; and Wang Rui, Deputy Director of the China Cultural Center in Moscow, along with representatives from the media and various sectors.
During the event, culinary teachers Zhou Fajian and Wan Zhenxiong from TCZJ led a team into the studio of Moscow's mainstream TNT television channel, the "Tryokhgornaya Manufactory Depot" food quarter, and the Garage Food Mall. From multiple dimensions such as ingredient preparation, knife skills demonstration, and cultural exploration, they showcased the exquisite techniques of Chinese cuisine to the Russian public. The Hangzhou Cuisine Master Class, through creative cooking that blended tradition and modernity, presented dozens of classic Hangzhou dishes, including assorted cold appetizers, artistic cold plates, hot dishes, and dim sum, attracting many young onlookers to experience them.
The event was a significant part of the 2026 Moscow "Happy Chinese New Year" series and an important activity showcasing the educational achievements of the Sino-Russian Tourism College. Statistics show that Russian media published 211 related reports, reaching a total audience of 48.1 million people; 381 posts on social media topics reached 21.9 million people.
