Tourism College of Zhejiang Cooperates with The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine to Hold a Special Free Medical Clinic for International Students.
To further implement the Healthy China Initiative, effectively safeguard the physical and mental health of international students on campus, and build a platform for friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign young people, Tourism College of Zhejiang jointly launched the themed free medical clinic for international students Medical Benevolence Links the World, Youth Forges a Healthy Future on campus on the afternoon of May 8, 2026, in collaboration with The Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine (SAHZU). The event delivered professional, convenient and thoughtful health services to international students, faculty and staff of the university.
The clinic was open to all international students and foreign teachers in need of health consultation, serving over 60 participants in total. SAHZU dispatched 8 senior physicians proficient in English, covering specialties including Traditional Chinese Medicine, Stomatology, General Practice, Neurology, Dermatology, Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, Psychological Counseling and Emergency Medicine. One-stop health services such as consultation on common illnesses, mental health support and interpretation of physical examination indicators were provided on site.
With well-organized consultation and waiting zones, the event was conducted in good order with thoughtful services. The medical team patiently answered various health-related questions raised by teachers and students, and offered professional guidance on disease prevention, daily health care, psychological adjustment and physical examination report analysis. The activity effectively helped international students relieve pressures from their study and life in China and raise their awareness of health protection.
This free medical clinic serves as an important measure for our university to practice the student-centered educational philosophy and care for the growth of international students. By introducing high-quality medical resources into the campus through university-hospital cooperation, the event not only provides tangible health guarantees for international students, but also further promotes cultural exchanges and friendship between China and other countries. Going forward, Tourism College of Zhejiang will continue to launch more caring service activities to fully protect the physical and mental health of all teachers and students.
