On April 23, Zheng Shuangxi, General Administrative Manager of Thailand Mingman School and Mingman Institute of Technology, led a delegation to pay a visit to our university.
Lang Fuping, Member of the University Party Committee and Vice President, Yuan Fuguo, General Manager of Human Resources at Songcheng Performance Group, as well as heads of relevant departments including the Academic Affairs Office, International Education College, School of Hotel and Culinary Arts, and School of Tourism Management attended the symposium.
Lang Fuping extended a warm welcome to the visiting Thai Mingman delegation and gave an introduction to the university’s school-running history, specialty features and international education development. He noted that China and Thailand are geographically close and culturally connected, with enormous potential for cooperation in tourism education. He proposed that the two institutions further share vocational education resources, jointly cultivate international talents, and build a Sino-Thai cultural and tourism cooperation platform. He stressed that our university will jointly build the Sino-Thai (Songcheng) Tourism College in Thailand with Songcheng Performance Group. He sincerely invited Mingman School and Mingman Institute of Technology to take part in the initiative, establish in-depth university-enterprise cooperation with Songcheng Performance Group, and jointly foster outstanding local tourism talents for Thailand.
Yuan Fuguo gave a detailed briefing on Songcheng Performance Group’s project planning in Pattaya, Thailand, as well as its talent demand. He stated that the launch of the Group’s projects in Thailand requires a large number of local managerial and service talents with professional competence. It is hoped that university-enterprise cooperation can achieve seamless integration of talent training and industrial needs.
Zheng Shuangxi thanked our university for the warm reception. He spoke highly of our university’s advanced educational philosophy, well-equipped practical training facilities and rich campus cultural atmosphere, and praised our university’s remarkable achievements in tourism vocational education. He introduced the development and operation of Mingman School and Mingman Institute of Technology, expressing the willingness to establish a long-term and stable cooperative relationship with our university to realize resource sharing and complementary advantages. He also expressed great anticipation for participating in the construction of the Sino-Thai (Songcheng) Tourism College, and pledged to deliver more high-caliber technical and skilled talents for Thailand’s tourism industry through tripartite cooperation.
Witnessed by all attendees, representatives of the two institutions signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Sino-Thai Vocational Education Cooperation.
The delegation also toured the university’s practical training facilities, including the Tea Lounge, Digital Sports & Wellness Training Base, Digital Trade Industry College, and Radisson Industry College.
