On April 1, a delegation of 51 senior officials and experts from the Office of Vocational Education Commission (OVEC) of Education Ministry of Thailand visited Tourism College of Zhejiang (TCZJ). Among the visiting guests are Mrs. Tipawan Wongwichien, director of the Section of Standards of OVEC, Mr. Bunlue Tongkeatkeaw, director of the Central Three Districts Vocational Education Center, Mr. Sarayut Thonguthai, deputy director of the Central Five Districts Vocational Education Center, Ms. Orapin Doungkaew, president of Chiangrai Vocational College, and Mr. Zhuang Lei, director of the International Cooperation Department of Vocational Education at Tang International Education Group, as well as the presidents and experts of other Thai vocational colleges.  

The delegation was warmly received by Du Lanxiao, president of TCZJ, Lang Fuping, vice president of TCZJ, and the deans of the School of International Education and the School of Travel Services and Management. Exchange meeting was held jointly addressing the issues such as the construction of China-Thailand Teacher Training Base Project.

Du Lanxiao warmly welcomed the visit of the delegation and gave a general introduction of TCZJ. She stated that China and Thailand are good partners with a shared destiny. Recently, China and Thailand have officially entered the "visa free era", marking a new stage of bilateral exchanges. She hopes to deepen exchanges and cooperation with Thai institutions and jointly build a high-quality modern vocational education standard system, on the basis of the application of our international curriculum standards and the supporting online courses in Thailand, as well as the construction of the China-Thailand "210 Project" Teacher Training Base.

Bunlue Tongkeatkeaw expressed his heartfelt thanks for the warm reception, and his appreciation and congratulations on the outstanding achievements that TCZJ has made in the tourism related fields. He further stressed the importance of deep cooperation with TCZJ to jointly establish professional curriculum standards, teacher training standards, and dual-degree talent cultivation, so as to reach new heights for cooperation in tourism education between China and Thailand.

In the exchange meeting, Ms. Orapin Doungkaew shared her understanding of the vocational education ideas and practices in Thailand. Mr. Zhuang Lei introduced the current situations of education exchange between China and Thailand.

During the visit, a campus tour was arranged including the training facilities such as Radisson Training Center, Alibaba Talent Incubation Base, Maipu Smart Training Center, Tour Guide VR Simulation Training Center, and Aviation Training Center.
