On November 22, the award ceremony of the 2023 “Picturesque Zhejiang” Storytelling Contest for Foreigners was successfully concluded in Hangzhou. Xu Peng, Level One Inspector of Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, Wang Fang, Vice President of Tourism College of Zhejiang, Xu Guoyin, Vice President of Hangzhou Culture Radio Television Group, Xu Jian, Former President of China Foreign Affairs University, as well as leaders of relevant units, attended the award ceremony.
Xu Peng said, the Storytelling Contest provides a new perspective and opens a new window for the promotion of Zhejiang culture and tourism, and has made positive contributions to promoting cultural exchanges and mutual learning as well as people-to-people connectivity. He hopes everyone can further experience the charm of Zhejiang's beautiful scenery and excellent traditional Chinese culture, and continue to tell the moving stories of "Picturesque Zhejiang".
After the final review of more than 100 works from more than 40 countries, the expert review panel selected ten outstanding works awards such as My First Trip to Hangzhou, Beautiful Ningbo, Raising My Son in Zhejiang, eight individual awards such as the best empathy award, Thai in Shouchang, the best creative award, Immersing in Dwelling in the Fuchun Mountains, the best production award, Cyber Hangzhou, and the best plot award, The Battle of Tea, and several finalist prizes.
It is understood that since the official launch of the 2023 "Picturesque Zhejiang" Storytelling Contest for Foreigners on August 8th this year, it has attracted attention from domestic and foreign media, sparking a wave of "Picturesque Zhejiang" craze. The label of "Picturesque Zhejiang" remains highly popular, with over ten millions exposures and a phenomenon level spread. TCZJ will collaborate with overseas institutions, overseas experts and others to build an international friend circle together, as well as launch a series of activities such as "Foreigners Traveling in Zhejiang" "Picturesque Zhejiang" boutique tourism route experience, cultural salons, international photographers, etc., to attract more foreigners to visit Zhejiang and unlock its poetic and picturesque atmosphere.
