On September 24, the "Digital Economy and Youth Entrepreneurship (China-South Africa) Cooperation and Connection Event" was held at TCZJ's Landison Education Institute. The event was co-organized by the National Vocational Education Teaching Steering Committee for E-commerce and the China-South Africa Cultural and International Education Exchange Center, and hosted by TCZJ. Over 160 representatives from governmental, educational, and business sectors of both countries. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on topics including the digital economy, vocational education, and youth entrepreneurship.

President Du Lanxiao delivered a welcome address, expressing hope that the event would promote youth innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as enhance digital education cooperation between China and South Africa. Lan Jingjing, Director of the International Cooperation and Exchange Department of Department of Education of Zhejiang Province, acknowledged TCZJ's achievements in international education and highlighted the fruitful cooperation between Zhejiang and Africa in the field of education. The South African mayors spoke highly of the event and expressed strong expectations for deepened future collaboration.

The event yielded several practical outcomes: the National E-commerce Teaching Steering Committee signed an agreement with the South Africa Center and announced the establishment of the "Belt and Road" E-commerce Valley South Africa Working Group and the West Rand Cooperation Center, marking the project's first implementation in Africa. Our university also successfully signed an agreement with the South Africa Center for the "Internship Exchange Program for Graduates of South African Vocational and Technical Institutions."

This event represents a concrete step in implementing the outcomes of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) and serves as a vivid example of our university's commitment to supporting national diplomatic efforts and deepening practical cooperation with Africa. The university will continue to build exchange platforms for Chinese and South African youth, contributing to the development of the digital economy and enhanced cultural exchanges between the two countries.
